Meet Zein Hassan

5th-Year Bioengineering Student

Concentration: Pre-Med
Expected Graduation: Fall 2026

Q: What inspired you to pursue engineering?
A: I’ve always enjoyed solving problems and thinking creatively. Engineering gives me the opportunity to turn ideas into reality while developing innovative solutions that can make a meaningful impact.

Q: What is the biggest surprise about working at Bionix?
A: The family atmosphere. I’ve never worked in an environment quite like this before. Everyone is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping each other succeed.

Q: What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned during your co-op?
A: Collaboration almost always leads to the best outcomes. I’ve also learned that precision matters, paying attention to the details can make all the difference.

Q: Looking ahead, what’s next for you?
A: After graduating this fall, I plan to pursue either medical school or dental school, where I hope to continue building on my passion for improving people’s lives.

Q: What’s something interesting about you that people may not know?
A: I’m a competitive powerlifter, who has competed Nationally

Q: What inspired you to pursue engineering?
A: I’ve always loved math and the challenge of solving problems. Engineering combines analytical thinking with creativity, giving me the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that can make a real difference.

Q: What has been the biggest surprise about working at Bionix?
A: The camaraderie. From day one, I felt like part of the team. Everyone is supportive, collaborative, and willing to help each other succeed.

Q: What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned during your co-op?
A: I’ve learned that great products are never built by one person alone. Every project has many stages and contributors, and the best solutions come from working together as a team.

Q: Looking ahead, what’s next for you?
A: After graduation, I plan to pursue a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and continue working toward my goal of becoming a product developer.

Q: What’s something interesting about you that people may not know?
A: I love hands-on creative hobbies. Whether it’s crocheting, making jewelry, or embroidery, I enjoy creating things with my hands and bringing new ideas to life.
