Description

Dislodging obstructions with the articulated tip enables quicker, more comfortable cleaning of the canal.

Combines illumination, magnification and a 90° articulating tip to help healthcare providers take less time to see and safely remove ear canal and nasal passage obstructions.

Indications

The Lighted Articulating Ear Curette is indicated for use in cases of impacted cerumen and/or foreign bodies occluding the ear canal.

Contraindications

There are no absolute contraindications for cerumen removal.

  • How long does the light source last?

    The light source is the same high quality light source used for the Lighted Ear Curette with Magnification, which was designed to provide brilliant light for over 50 curettage procedures.

  • Are curettes individually wrapped?

    No, 25 curettes come in a single pouch for easy access.

  • Is there a CPT code for this procedure?

    We recommend that you submit this under CPT code 69210 for potential reimbursement. Curettage can also be used for foreign body removal. It can be submitted under CPT code 69200 for potential reimbursement.

    For potential reimbursement of foreign body removal of the nose, we recommend that you submit CPT code 30300

  • Are they sterile?

    Not necessary, not used in a sterile environment.

  • What is the tip size on the Lighted Articulating Ear Curette?

    Lighted Articulating VersaScoop® is a 3mm wide tip.
